Terms of Service
These terms explain how Bad Princess Productions handles enquiries, assessments and restoration work. They apply to communication through this website and to projects agreed in writing between Bad Princess Productions and the client.
These terms must be reviewed and confirmed by Bad Princess Productions before being used for paid client work.
Service enquiries
Enquiries may be made through the contact page, email, WhatsApp or other agreed channels. Submitting an enquiry does not create a binding contract. A project begins only once scope, fees and terms have been agreed in writing.
Free initial assessment
Bad Princess Productions may offer a free initial assessment of submitted material so that realistic restoration options can be discussed. The assessment is intended to help determine whether the project is suitable and what work may be achievable.
An assessment is not a guarantee that all requested work can be completed, nor a commitment to begin paid work until a quotation has been accepted.
Quotations
Quotations are based on the information and materials available at the time of assessment. If the source material, scope or requirements change, the quotation may need to be revised before work begins or continues.

Project scope
Restoration scope will be defined in the agreed quotation or project confirmation. This may include the material to be treated, intended deliverables, technical objectives and any known limitations.
Work outside the agreed scope will be treated as additional work and quoted separately unless otherwise agreed.
Client-supplied source materials
The client is responsible for supplying the best available source material and accurate information about the project. The client confirms that they have the right to provide the material for assessment and restoration.
Bad Princess Productions is not responsible for problems arising from incomplete, inaccurate or unauthorised source material.
Condition and limitations of source audio
Some soundtracks contain damage, loss, noise or technical limitations that cannot be fully corrected without affecting legitimate dialogue, music, effects or atmosphere. The assessment will explain what is realistically achievable for the material supplied.
Restoration improves clarity and stability where possible. It does not guarantee that every defect can be removed or that the result will match modern production standards.
Deposits and payment
Payment terms will be confirmed in the project quotation or agreement.

Turnaround estimates
Any turnaround estimate depends on project length, source condition, current workload and the amount of detailed restoration required. Estimated delivery dates are indicative only unless expressly agreed as fixed in writing.

Changes and additional work
If the client requests changes to agreed scope, additional scenes, revised deliverables or further restoration beyond the original quotation, Bad Princess Productions will confirm any revised fees and timing before proceeding.

Cancellations
If a project is cancelled after work has begun, charges may apply for assessment time, work completed and any non-recoverable costs already incurred.

Delivery formats
Deliverables and file formats will be agreed in the project quotation. Unless otherwise stated, restored files are supplied in the formats required for the agreed use, such as review, mastering or delivery to a label or distributor.
Client approval
The client is responsible for reviewing delivered material within a reasonable period and confirming approval or requesting agreed revisions. Failure to respond within [Matt to confirm approval period] may be treated as acceptance unless otherwise agreed.
Responsibility for backups
The client should retain their own backups of all original source material. Bad Princess Productions takes reasonable care with client material, but the client remains responsible for maintaining independent backups of irreplaceable assets.
Intellectual property
Ownership of original source material and underlying rights remains with the client or the relevant rights holder. Bad Princess Productions receives only the rights needed to assess, restore and deliver the agreed work.
Unless otherwise agreed, restored deliverables are licensed or assigned as set out in the project confirmation.
Confidentiality
Bad Princess Productions treats unreleased project material and client correspondence as confidential unless disclosure is required by law or authorised by the client.
Limitation of restoration outcomes
Restoration results depend on the condition of the source material and the nature of the defects present. Bad Princess Productions does not guarantee removal of every imperfection or a specific subjective outcome.
The aim is to reduce technical distraction while preserving the identity, balance and historical character of the original soundtrack.
Liability
Bad Princess Productions carries out work with reasonable skill and care. Liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law and as set out in the agreed project terms.
